A contemporary outdoor structure designed to extend the home into its surrounding landscape through architecture, materiality, and spatial clarity.
The Forest Pavilion project introduces a refined outdoor structure designed to enhance the homeowner’s backyard living environment while maintaining a strong connection to the surrounding wooded landscape.
The design was approached as an architectural extension of the home, not simply an outdoor addition,ensuring that form, proportion, and material selection align with the overall property.
Clean structural lines, warm natural finishes, and integrated lighting establish a space that supports both quiet retreat and social gathering.
The pavilion was conceived as a minimal architectural form positioned within the landscape to frame views, create shelter, and define an outdoor room.
A restrained palette of wood, steel, and stone introduces contrast while remaining grounded within the natural environment. Vertical wood slatting adds rhythm and warmth, while the structural frame establishes a clean and contemporary architectural expression.
Every element was considered in relation to scale, proportion, and long-term integration within the property.
Each element was detailed to ensure alignment with the surrounding interior spaces.
The pavilion establishes a dedicated outdoor living zone designed for relaxation, entertainment, and connection to nature. Furniture layout, circulation, and sightlines were carefully considered to ensure both comfort and functionality.
Integrated lighting plays a key role in defining the space during evening use, highlighting architectural surfaces while creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Positioned carefully within the site, the pavilion was designed to feel embedded within the surrounding landscape rather than placed upon it. Existing sightlines were preserved, and the structure maintains a natural relationship with the wooded setting, reinforcing a seamless connection between architecture and environment
The result is a contemporary outdoor pavilion that balances architectural precision with natural integration, creating a refined extension of the home designed for modern outdoor living.
